The Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo has perfomed the commissioning of toilet facility, which was renovated by the Egba Unique Brothers and Sisters in the United Kingdom with modest funfare as part of the activities marking the 2025 Annual Lisabi festival in Egbaland.
Speaking at the occasion, Oba Gbadebo was full of prayers and appreciation to the donors for what he termed "a meaningful contribution to humanity", calling on other well - meaning Egba sons and daughters to make meaningful contributions to the development at home.
In attendance were the project donors, the school management, staff and selected student representatives, members of the school cultural troop, representatives of the Old Students' Association and others from the school neighbourhood.
The programme commenced under the leadership of kabiyesi Oba Ajibola Babalola, onijale of ijalepapa, even as speeches were presented from the Chairperson of the donors and group secretary, the principal of the Senior School, Mr Akinlotan, who thanked the donors and promised to ensure the facility is well maintained
The National President, ECHSOSA Old Students' Association,Chief Olufemi Popoola, in his speech extolled the magnanimity and exemplary gestures of the donors, while expressing the appreciation of the Old Students' Association for having this intervention in the school amongst the arrays of elite secondary schools in Egbaland at a time when the school is undergoing deliberate efforts to restore the old glory of the school, as it could be seen in the school premises.
The ECHSOSA National President also used the occasion to solicit more assistance in other areas in the school, especially the attached depressed building to the renovated toilet.
The school cultural troop was also on ground, rendering beautiful Egba songs which elicited joyous appreciation from the project sponsors.
