PROVOST MARKS 3RD ANNIVERSARY IN A GRAND STYLE.




The Provost, Dr R.A Soyele, fnim, fcipdm, on Friday 13th September, 2024 marked his 3rd year in office in a grand style through the commissioning of a number of projects in the College.
 
The Princely Provost, first alumnus and second homegrown to be Provost has continued to give a defining uplifting  to the College since his assumption in office. 

Activities marking the epoch making event began with the commissioning a well constructed car park at the Provost's Lodge where the Provost spoke on the need for maintenance culture in protecting College properties especially for often used vehicles. He added that such necessitaed the idea behind the park.

At the meeting with the Management team, Deans and Directors,  the Provost, Dr R.A Soyele, fnim, fcipdm was eulogized as a visionary leader, one who always wanted results, an achiever, a goal getter and one who knows his onions. In the same vein,  the representatives of the students' Union , NASCENS National Exco and NANS described him as a father whose role had not only assisted students educationally but had also sharpened them in all spheres. 

This was followed by
 the distribution of computer sets to Directorates of Continuing Education (DICE) and Procurement for the ease of work and distribution of Television Screens to three Staff Unions - COEASU, SSUCOEN and NASU.  Equally of two brand new Jac jeeps for the proposed Deputy Provosts Academics and Administration  commissioned.

The Provost while speaking at the event appreciated his Management Team, Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments and Units,  Staff and Students' Unions as well as everyone for their unflinching support which had in no small measure assisted him in achieving the feat. He thereafter promised the rehabilitation of the Students' Union Building and state-of-the-art the art hostel facilities.


Other projects commissioned to commemorate the Provost's three years in Office included the Massaging machine at the College Medical Centre; opening of  the Centre for Inclusive Education and Special Studies (CIESS) building, Sentry Security Post.

In rounding off the activities, the four weeks Instructional Technique Programme organised at the Centre for Research, Educational and E- Services in collaboration with the Nigerian Airforce which came to an end with an exit briefing. The participants  commended the Provost and his team for a condusive atmosphere in the College, his good leadership style and the great support gotten from the College. The Representative of the Nigerian Air Force Director of Music, S/Leader, Anthony Onoh promised a continued collaboration with the College as the participants through their thorough teaching methodology have been reoriented.
