The Setman of Victory Life Bible Church Int'l, Apostle Lawrence Achudume, has admonished Christians to embrace a life of total obedience and faith, warning that anything less is "falsehood."
Achudume, who said this at a Sunday service in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, Nigeria, emphasized that true Christianity requires surrendering fully to God's will, citing Abraham's example in Genesis chapter 14.
The influential pastor also tackled the destructive effects of gossip, backbiting, and bitterness within the Christian community, branding gossipers as "ungodly" and "spiritually unfit."
He urged believers to focus on their strength from above, as stated in Philippians 4:13, and to depend solely on God.
The VLBC INT'L Setman assured the congregation that total obedience to God's will leads to lasting prosperity and a fulfilling life.
"God is a covenant keeper who will not shortchange anyone who truly serves and obeys Him," Achudume declared, encouraging Christians to hold on to God's promises and trust in His providence.
He further emphasized that there comes a point in one's walk with God where one must resolve to give all they are and have to serve their Creator, stressing that this level of commitment is necessary for sustainability in the relationship with God.
"By surrendering to God's will, just as Abraham did, Christians can experience the same level of blessing and fulfillment that Abraham enjoyed," Achudume said.
He concluded by urging believers to embrace a life of total obedience to God, just as Abraham did, and to trust God for a life of purpose.
