As part of the activities put together to mark the fifth coronation anniversary on the throne of his forebears, the Olota of Otta and the Chairman Ogun State Awori Obas Forum, His Majesty, Oba Professor Adeyemi Abdukabir Obalanlege(Lanlege Ekun II, Arole Iganmode) has concluded arrangements to perform the turning of the sod of a Community E-Library project.
The event will also witness the formal opening of a magnificent royal residence situated at Oba Adeyemi Imperial Estate, Otta, Ogun state.
A statement by a palace source, Prince Adeyemi Sulaimon Olusesi, informed that the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee for the 5th Coronation Anniversary, Hon. Akinpelu Nurudeen Aina, who made this known in a chat observed that the monarch is "worthy to be celebrated at every opportunity as his reign had witnessed tremendous and significant developments, not only in Otta but in the Awori Kingdom at large".
He further commended Oba Obalanlege for his passion and commitment in promoting the rich cultural values, identity of the Aworis across the globe, and for his quality leadership.
Akinpelu declared that the celebration shall feature the following : Gbedu session, conferment of chieftaincy title to deserving individuals, unveiling of community e-library project, opening of the royal residence, and other empowerment programmes lined up in commemoration of the 5th Coronation Anniversary.
Akinpelu further announced that the distinguished sons and daughters of Awori Kingdom in the Central Planning Committee as approved by His Majesty include: Hon.(Chief)Akinpelu Aina as Chairman , Chief Temitayo Idowu- Head of E-Library project, Alhaji Maroof Oloponda, Prince Adeyemi Sulaimon Olusesi, Hon. Kamal Aina.
Others are:Hon. Mojeed Ajibose, Mr. Sheriff Oyekunle, Princess Bukola Fadina, Prince Oluwaseyi Oyetoro, Mrs Fadeke Falola-Olayinka.
Prominent Nigerians and people from all walks of life are expected at the event scheduled to hold between the 9th and 10th of May 2023 in the ancient City of Otta, Awori Kingdom
