It was another eventful week as Crescent University students marked another episode of its student social week entitled “CUAB FEST 3.0” which started off on the 15th of May and ended on the 22nd of the month.
The “CUAB week” as it is popularly called among the students is a single week set aside every session for students to carry out social activities. These social activities are usually done within the niversity premises and includes dancing competition, trade fare, bonfire and a lot more.
During the week, a day was set aside for a trade fare.The trade fare provided an opportunity for people who have the mind for business and own businesses to display their goods for sale. Surprisingly, many students and even lecturers were at the fare to buy and sell different products including jewelries, food, snacks and other items.
On the same day, students are to wear different colours of customized t- shirts to mark the colour fest. The event was indeed a colourful and eventful one as many students showed a lot of interest by paying for the shirts. Some students were also allowed to showcase their talents.
Thereafter, a bonfire was also done. This was an event where the students are to dance round a large fire from a burning firewood until the fire burns out.
“I really enjoyed this week because it made the school lively” one of the students said at the event.
At the end of the whole week, many student agreed that the week was a way to have fun and allow students socialize as the school is usually very boring,therefore the CUAB FEST was more than a students' week , but an opportunity for the students to have fun.
