Plagiarism is presenting someone else's work or ideas as your own, with or without their consent, by incorporating it into your work without full acknowledgement.
Plagiarism in academia industry is a serious ethical offense. It's punishable under the law and anyone caught doing this may face the wrath of the law.
Many are involved in this act and it is not good at all. It's totally bad not to acknowledge the owner of the work for any reason.
Plagiarism is unethical for these reasons: it is unethical because it is a form of theft. By taking the ideas and words of others and pretending they are your own, you are stealing someone else's intellectual property. Also, it is unethical because the plagiariser subsequently benefits from this theft.
Always remember that plagiarism can result in legal action, fines and penalties.
