.......Advised Alumni Associations to aid Government in enlightening members
The National President of Government Secondary School Ilorin Old Boys Association, Eng. Yahaya Alapansanpa
has identified with numerous Old Boys of the school and Nigeria at this critical period of lockdown, occasioned by the Coronavirus pandemic.
The President in a release said: "this is indeed a dark chapter in global history as every aspect of human lives has been negatively affected".
Alapansanpa noted that Alumni Associations had a vital roles to play in enlightening their members and alumnus about the pandemic and how to get out of it.
He said his strong believe is that we shall survive, get out of this trying times stronger and better, with God on the side of the nation and positive mindset.
"I see us as a people turning this great obstacle to human development into unprecedented progress" Alapansanpa said.
He regretted that although the present situation has expectedly slowed down the pace of the strides as National Exco under his leadership, as all educational activities have been grinded to a halt, he assured the Exco shall sustain the mementum when everything comes back to normal, soon.
Alapansanpa said " I have a duty to implore you to please adhere strictly to all health advisory that has been given, such as restriction on movement, maintenance of high level of personal hygiene and social distancing in order to stave off the pandemic" .
