Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has affirmed his administration's full commitment to the creation of the joint security outfit of all the South-Western States code-named, "Operation Amotekun".
Governor Abiodun who spoke through his Special Adviser on Media, Hon. Remmy Hazzan, said the commitment was demonstrated at the just concluded State's Executive Council meeting, where the executive bill to establish the Ogun State Amotekun Corps was approved by the Council.
According to him, "Ogun State is 100 percent in favour of the Amotekun security initiative and we have never shied away from it", adding that the bill would be transmitted to the State House of Assembly before the week runs out.
Underscoring the importance of the bill, the Special Adviser assured that the State House of Assembly members would treat it with the immediacy that it deserves, saying its urgency cannot be watered down.
He reiterated the present administration's commitment to the security of lives and property of its citizens, assuring that, "we are for Amotekun and there is no going back on it, once the House finishes their part on it, we, as a State will hit the ground running".
